Q) Where are you based? What locations do you cover?
Originally from Cornwall am now based in Northamptonshire; however I am prepared to travel anywhere.
Q) Do you offer half day packages?
Yes. I provide half day and full day wedding coverage.
Q) What is the best way of discussing our wedding plans with you?
Please feel free to contact me by telephone or by using the form on the client access tab to tell me your wedding date, location & venue. I always meet with the happy couple a few weeks prior to their wedding.
Q) Do you provide all the images in High resolution?
Yes. I provide images on a USB with full resolution copies of all the best photographs from your wedding day. I ensure each image is perfected before they are available to view.
Q) Are all the photos edited? Retouched?
I ensure all images are correctly light balanced and colour corrected.
Q) When will we be able to view our photographs?
I will provide you with a link within 4 weeks of your wedding date. In your own time, just choose which are your favourites from the gallery and I will order your photo book and will send this to you along with your USB with all the images.
Q) How long does it take to receive a photo album?
Once you have selected your favourites and signed off your preferred design and which images you would like contained in your album; usually takes between 6-8 weeks for printing, binding and delivery.
Q) Can we print our own images? Make our own albums?
Absolutely! You have access to your online gallery and are more than welcome to use your own printing company if you prefer. Under the Copyright and Design Act 1988 negative/digital files remain the copyright property of Patrick Collins Photography. I will provide you with written confirmation which permits you to print my photographs taken at your wedding at no additional cost with all my packages; which means you can make your own photo books, albums, canvas prints and copies for your family and friends.
Q) Do you take both formal photographs?
Definitely! Formal shots are very important, weddings for generations have had formal shots. Time is a vital factor. Waiting in line may not seem fun for you and your guests, but I work quickly and efficiently to ensure no photo takes longer than 5 minutes. I usually suggest taking up to 10 formal shots so your guests and family are not lingering too long.
Q) When do you take portraits of the couple alone?
The ideal time is when you can spend time together away from family and guests between the ceremony and the reception. I would suggest allocating 45 minutes for your wedding portrait session and around 15 minutes for the evening session as sunset arrives.
Q) Are there any extra costs for your travel expenses?
I do not charge any travel costs UK wide.
Q) Are you insured?
Yes. I am covered for public liability and personal indemnity.
Q) Do we need to supply you with a meal on our wedding day?
No. There is no requirement to do this unless you wish to.
